We have a charity shop located in Penrith on Angel Lane.
Our shop provides supported volunteering opportunities. We also help people develop or refresh skills in a supportive and friendly environment. The shop also provides important mental health information to the local community.
Leaflets and service details are always available and our shop is a safe place for people who might be struggling with mental health problems to shop, have a chat and gather information.
Funds
Our shop raises much-needed funds for Carlisle Eden Mind and all money raised goes back into the local community to help us continue providing mental health services across Carlisle, Eden and countywide. The shop sells goods mostly donated by the general public, and we rely heavily on your generosity to fund the work we do. Without your donations, there would be no Mind shop.
We are pleased to accept donations of:
- Women’s clothing, accessories & shoes
- Men’s clothing & shoes
- Books, DVDs, CDs
- Homeware items including linens, bric-a-brac etc
- Good quality small electrical items in working order, including flat-screen TVs, hi-fi, and small kitchen items (all electrical goods are PAT tested before resale)
If you have goods to donate please ring our shop first. Please do not leave any items outside the door to our shop. This is because sometimes items can get damaged or stolen if left unattended.
