Get set to go is an exciting new programme launched to help people bring more physical activity into their lives. Physical and mental health have a strong link. By introducing physical activity into the lives of all people we hope to:
- Improve their quality of life for people who have or are experiencing mental health problems
- Make access to sport easier in the local community
People experiencing stress, anxiety and mild depression have seen a reduction in these feelings when taking part in regular physical activity. In addition to improved mood, self-esteem, and better brain function. As well as improved wellbeing across all age groups.
In doing so, we hope to reach the maximum number of people who will benefit from this service as possible.
