Carlisle Eden Mind is one of 130 local Minds across the country, who work to empower, educate and support people with mental health issues. We are an independent, self-funded mental health charity that operates in Carlisle, Eden and across Cumbria. As a local charity we match our services to meet the needs of the community we serve and campaign to improve the services available to those in need of mental health support, raise awareness and promote understanding.
One in four people experience mental health challenges and we suspect that number is rising, yet many of us don’t get the support we deserve.

A word from our chair....
As a Cumbrian myself, I’ve witnessed first-hand the challenges that mental health issues can pose across our two council areas of Cumberland, Westmoorland and Furness. That’s why I’m passionate about the work we do at CEMind. On behalf of everyone at CEMind, I’m thrilled to unveil our new strategy. We’re more than just an organisation; we’re a beacon of hope, a catalyst for change, and a steadfast support system for the mental health community in our counties. Our mission is to connect minds, change minds, and support minds across our county of Cumbria. We strive to create a world where mental health is prioritised, understood, and embraced.
