Stress Awareness Month – April

April 1 - April 30

April is stress awareness month, written in white in a blue back ground

Take Charge of Your Well-Being: In April, It’s Stress Awareness Month!

April is Stress Awareness Month, a time to focus on understanding stress and developing healthy coping mechanisms. While a little stress can motivate us, chronic or intense stress can negatively impact our physical and mental health.

The Stress-Mental Health Connection:

  • Stress as a Trigger: Experiencing high levels of stress can increase your risk of developing mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, or PTSD.
  • Stress Can Worsen Existing Conditions: If you already have a mental health condition, stress can make managing symptoms and treatment more challenging.
  • Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms: Turning to alcohol or drugs to cope with stress can worsen mental health and create a cycle of dependence.

If you or someone you know needs support see our current services available – you are not alone.
