What if I am worried about someone else?

It can be very difficult to see someone who you care about becoming unwell, but you don’t need to be an expert on mental health to offer support. Often small, everyday actions can make the biggest difference.

Show your support

If you know someone has been unwell, don’t be afraid to ask how they are doing. They might want to talk about it, or they might not. But just letting them know they don’t have to avoid the issue with you is important. Spending time with your loved one or friend lets them know you care, and can help you understand what they’re going through. You can download our PDF ‘What if I am worried about someone else?’ here.
